Cello Health BioConsulting is a business development and strategy consulting firm that has been assisting clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare investment industries for more than 30 years. We differ from other consulting firms in the unique depth and breadth of our therapeutic area expertise, in our people (most of whom have advanced scientific degrees), and in the quality of our client interactions. Our services, broadly described, include the following: Opportunity Assessments, Indication and Portfolio Prioritization, Therapeutic Area Growth Strategies, and Identification and Evaluation of Partnering Opportunities.
Cello Health BioConsulting is in a period of growth and expansion and is currently seeking to add staff at the Associate Consultant level. We are based in Florham Park, NJ (Greater New York Metro Area) office, but currently working remotely for the foreseeable future.
The Associate Consultant position offers a unique opportunity to rapidly engage in building experience in the commercial side of the Pharmaceutical industry and to develop the skills necessary for a successful career in life science consulting. Being a boutique, highly focused consulting firm, Cello Health BioConsulting’s culture provides a flexible and relatively nonhierarchical work environment. New hires will receive intensive training directly from our senior staff and Principals, gain almost immediate exposure to high-level clients, and have the opportunity for rapid advancement.
Associate Consultants work as members of project teams performing commercial assessments of development-stage pharmaceutical products and technologies including forecasting, market and pipeline analyses, identification and evaluation of licensing and partnering opportunities, and development of clinical and commercial positioning strategies.
Initial responsibilities will include conducting in-depth discussions with thought-leading clinicians and researchers in a variety of therapeutic areas and performing secondary research and analysis that provide the foundation for our commercial assessment projects.
This position promises an intensive work environment in exchange for immersion into therapeutic areas of focus for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, as well as an education on the key issues challenging the biopharmaceutical industry moving forward.
Responsibilities will expand rapidly for candidates who demonstrate exceptional performance.
This is a growth-focused, early career position for candidates with advanced expertise in biological sciences, typically informed by PhD-, PharmD-, or MD-level studies and/or postdoc experiences, who are interested in applying their scientific background and analytical skills while building a knowledge base within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consulting industries.
In addition to advanced scientific expertise, ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a clear analytical thought process, excellent oral and written presentation skills, and have the ability to work intensively on multiple project streams in a variety of therapeutic/practice areas.
