About you

We are looking for an Accounting Manager with a ‘can do’ spirit, who can demonstrate ‘fresh thinking’ throughout their work and interactions with colleagues. You must have a strong technical accounting & finance background with the ability to design and create financial models within Microsoft Excel that incorporate historical financial data used to help project future results. You are able to remain accountable for driving process improvement across the month end close process, forecasting and budgeting process and internal controls. Specifically, we are looking for someone who:

The role

The Accounting Manager will be accountable for the core financial accounting and reporting functions, as well as planning and analysis involving forecasting and budgeting for Cello Health Communications and other wholly-owned US subsidiaries. This position will primarily be responsible for managing the monthly accounting process, including the month-end close and preparation of management financial reports. This includes the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement, along with supporting reconciliations and details.

An important component of this role is the continual improvement of procedures and processes in order to improve the timeliness and accuracy of financial information to assist with management decision.  Specifically, there will be a focus on the key aspects of FP&A related to forecasting & modelling, as well as management of an efficient month-end close process, refinement of inter-company invoicing & reconciliation, the settlement of payments, and oversight of the process around tax preparation and payments. This role will be expected to assist with the due diligence related to acquisitions as needed. This position will report directly into the Finance Director of Cello Health Communications.

The role requires a balanced ability to

  • Remain directly accountable for all month-end processes for Cello Health Communications and other US entities
  • Remain accountable for completing the monthly financial reporting package submitted into Corporate for multiple legal entities
  • Responsible for preparing local management financial reporting package for several US legal entities
  • Manage invoicing, reconciliation and settlement of inter-company balances on a monthly basis
  • Lead the process related to the utilization of third-party tax vendor (quarterly estimated tax payments and preparation of federal, state and local tax return on behalf of the US Parent and subsidiaries)
  • Identify and quantify potential financial opportunities and risk associated with the business in order to help manage financial expectations and deliverables
  • Support and partner with other finance and accounting colleagues to synchronize processes, workflows and key special project deliverables within business subsidiaries, US Parent and overall UK Parent

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license or MBA required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Accounting/ Finance experience
  • Preferred experience with professional service business model
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience is required
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience is preferred
