Digital Research Manager
The Role

To take ownership of the smooth running of digital projects, including new and more established methodologies

  • To own and lead in the development of ‘gold standard’ digital project processes and procedures to ensure effective and efficient running of digital project elements
  • To proactively revisit previous project processes and procedures, identifying any gaps in terms of processes/ templates and to take a lead in refreshing these as required and following any developments
  • To act as a day to day point of contact for suppliers (where appropriate and alongside digital tech team)
  • To be fully aware and to proactively keep up to date with all legal & ethical guidelines for Digital projects, ensuring all projects meet our requirements

To provide proactive project support to ensure effective management and lead on the implementation of digital research projects

  • To actively lead the research design, set-up and implementation or act as a consultant to the research team, ensuring gold standard set up and implementation of Digital projects
  • To be proactive and pre-empt Digital project milestones working closely with research teams (as required) and Project Manager
  • To act as a day to day point of contact for client (where appropriate)

To conduct defined research activities to help build client satisfaction

  • To understand client needs and take a lead in the design of innovative digital research activities
  • To design high quality research screeners, task flows / discussion guides, which show a clear understanding of the market research objectives
  • To effectively moderate eVillages and mobile video communities, maximising engagement of participants and being mindful of client objectives on Digital projects to ensure true value of digital method fully realised
  • To ensure digital methodology and outputs are fully integrated with wider research
  • To lead and coach colleagues in brainstorming sessions to ensure the insights from digital projects are maximised across the research team
  • To conduct some facilitation and present at client meetings

To ensure effective teamwork, coach colleagues and upskill the wider research team on Digital projects

  • To provide on the job coaching and feedback to colleagues in order to help build their skills, with a particular focus on digital methods and thinking to ensure ‘gold standard’ execution
  • To advise researchers on gold-standard task-flow/ discussion guide design to ensure project insights are maximised
  • To take responsibility for workload planning for execs on research projects to ensure effective project management
  • To lead teams to build effective team-working
  • To act as a consultant for research execs to contact should they need advice on a digital project
  • To identify skill gaps across the exec group and proactively lead training/ coaching
  • To conduct training to the exec group both on and off the job to upskill them on new and existing digital methodologies

To lead direct reports, ensure effective teamwork and coach colleagues

  • To provide support and development to colleagues and encourage team working
  • To conduct appraisals, as well as provide on the job coaching and feedback to ensure on going development and delivery of objectives
  • To build and develop exec team project management skills

To assist and provide support in building client relationships to help drive growth

  • To have an awareness and understanding of the commercial needs of the business
  • Be present and begin to facilitate at client meetings, where appropriate
  • To build client-focused, needs-based proposals and credentials that clearly demonstrate the benefits of adopting a digital approach and/or thinking, and contribute to more complex proposals
  • To show a thorough understanding of the suite of Digital tools and which would best meet each client situation
  • To build client ready credentials for the digital offerings, focussed on why the approach is best for their needs
  • To perform marketing activities, e.g. arrange and follow up meetings, begin to write marketing reports, show an understanding of the importance of potential business opportunities

To be an effective member of the Cello Health Insight organisation and support Company initiatives

  • To participate in Company meetings and implement Company procedures
  • To provide support and involvement in internal initiatives and show awareness of need to continually innovate
  • Support Cello Health Insight values, show appropriate enthusiasm, creativity, drive and responsibility for tasks and their own development within Cello Health Insight
  • To contribute to the internal promotion, awareness and understanding of new digital offerings and gold standards
  • To take responsibility for staying up-to-date and informed on news, industry developments and published material relating to digital research, digital pharma and the other relevant topics areas, to support a rounded understanding of the digital environment relating to our business, and to share key articles with rest of digital team and/or company as relevant
  • With guidance, begin to develop knowledge of the company strategy and their role in its execution
  • To complete all administrative tasks in a timely and appropriate manner
  • strong experience in research or professional services organisation, holding a research based project support role in the healthcare sector (preferable)
  • All round technical ability and broad knowledge of research methods and approaches
  • Ability to produce “client ready” interview materials and presentations
  • Good knowledge of the healthcare sector
  • Proven results in project management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in client presentations
  • Basic management skills and experience in coaching teams
  • Computer proficient: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
