Associate Creative Director, Art

Overview

We are looking for an Associate Creative Director (ACD) with an art direction background who can work with our team in coming up with creative ideas and solutions to support our clients. You will be the day-to-day creative lead on specific brands and products with a focus on art direction and illustration. Our ACD will report to the Senior Director of Creative Services and assist the Senior Director in the management of the Creative team. You will work in partnership with the Medical and Client Service teams to ensure the execution of high-quality and well-crafted creative deliverables. You will contribute to the strength of the agency-client relationship by nurturing relationships with clients through communication, collaboration and up-leveling the creativity of deliverables to meet and exceed client expectations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide creative leadership and standards for the assigned brand(s)/product(s)
  • Present work both internally and externally to clients
  • Partner with clients on effective creative development
  • Monitor and manage team activity to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Create a partnership approach with peers from other departments
    (e.g. Client Services, Medical, etc.) on client’s creative vision
  • Provide creative and management direction as well as developmental support to direct reports
  • Participate in new business development
  • Act as a hands-on art director (as appropriate) when needed

 

Job Requirements

  • Proven ability to think beyond the ask and help develop and drive creative solutions for client brands; can formulate innovative concepts
  • Prior business development experience and success in concepting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working on a wide range of accounts and therapeutic areas
  • Ability to be a strategic thinker and can connect strategies to creative solutions
  • Exemplifies a creative vision in order to set and maintain high standards that are consistent with the company’s creative expectations
  • Is dedicated to exceeding clients’ creative expectations; acts with the client’s best interest in mind
  • Demonstrates ownership of assigned projects by continually coming up with new ideas proactively
  • Willingness to be flexible and work on extra projects or other projects as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • 7+ years Medical Communications agency experience
  • Expertise with the Adobe Suite of tools
  • Experienced knowledge of various platforms including PowerPoint and animation and video applications
  • Experience with illustration and animation across various platforms
  • Integrated digital experience
